Passionate about hunting when I was young and being formed to work wood and metal during my studies, it was just natural that I turned to the profession of a gunsmith.
After obtaining a diploma in micromechanics (CAP / BEP), I left Bordeaux for the high school Benoit Fourneyron in Saint-Etienne (France) to specialize in the profession of a gunsmith. Surrounded and guided by great names of the armory of Saint Etienne as Mr FEY or Mr SEGUINEAU, I got my armory diploma (CAP) in 1988.
To implement my new knowledge, I worked for three years in the region of Tours with a gunsmith who is titled as of one of the best workers in France ("Meilleur Ouvrier de France").
Back in Bordeaux, my hometown, I created my workshop in 1991 : l'Arquebusier.
The first ten years of my business life are spent on routine work such as repairing, cleaning and stock fitting of hunting guns. Then my range of services is expanded with new works such as blacking, installation and adjustment of the rifle scope, hand made stock to measures...
My most loyal customers encouraged me in the early 2000s to design and fabricate my own rifles.
In 2003, the l'Arquebusier becomes more than a workshop, a hunting shop. My wife Véronique, who was assisting me already in the administrative and marketing tasks, also helps me to select clothing and hunting accessories and fine second hand guns for sale in the shop.
After obtaining the designation of Master gunsmith in 2006, I continue to expand my range of handmade guns: this work is done in collaboration with the best engravers - French or European - to perfect the gun or the rifle of your dreams.
